Asian – The best Asian restaurants in Belfast

There are oriental flavours aplenty in Belfast, from tasty Thai to Taiwanese street food. So regardless of what flavour of Asian food you’re after, the city will have something for you.

Here’s some of the best Asian restaurants we’ve discovered in Belfast over the years to get your fix of oriental grub:

Zen

One of the standouts of the Asian restaurant scene in Belfast or many years. You’ll find people raving about this hotspot all across the city. Great for big groups and they also have a popular lunch menu full of all your Chinese favourites.

Baobun

A huge favourite of ours at Eat Out Belfast. This super cool Taiwanese street food joint first opened up on Botanic Avenue and recently opened up a second shop on the Lisburn Road. Spongy baos filled with all sorts of delicious meats and veg. They also do the best loaded fries and other stuff like Vietnamese pho. Must try! BYO as well.

3 Levels

Set over three separate floors on University Road, each level has its own distinct Asian style. The top floor is a Japanese masterclass area and a huge hit with patrons in the Queen’s Quarter.

Bangkok Thai

Located on Adelaide Street, Bangkok Thai has a fantastic menu filled with Thai favourites such as curries, noodle dishes and some seriously tasty prawns. We loved the servoce here as well!

Bia Rebel Ramen

More of an Asian/Irish fusion, this Ormeau Road noodle bar has gained huge acclaim since opening in 2018. Fresh noodles made every day and topped off with the most flavoursome broth in town.

Kamakura

Formerly a hidden gem, Kamakura Sushi & Ramen on Donegal Pass has a menu choc full of Asian favourites and growing in popularity every day. Top quality sushi and the ramen ain’t bad either – also BYO!

Bo Tree Kitchen

Smack bang in the middle of the infamous Holylands, hardly a culinary hotspot but this joint is quickly gaining a sterling reputation for tasty Thai food. Menu changes frequently but their curries are hard to beat!

Yo Sushi

Vegans and vegetarians options aplenty here at the back of Victoria Square. Not only just their sushi items but lots of other small plate style Asian food make this place a go-to for when you’re in Belfast city centre.

Yugo

Possibly a little more upmarket than some of the others included here, although one look at the menu will have you scurrying to check out this gem. Tiger Prawns, Rice Noodles, Thai Basil, Szechuan Broth. Mouthwatering.

Jumon

Another for the ever-growing vegetarian population, this creative and stylish spot on Fountain Street serves up plant-based Asian fusion dishes to warm your soul.
